VEDP recently conducted a Governor-led marketing mission to the United Arab Emirates and India, with additional agriculture-related stops in Oman and Kuwait. The Port of Virginia and Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) partnered to make the mission a success.

The trip included approximately 50 VEDP prospect meetings and five VEDP marketing events that showcased the advantages of doing business in Virginia, including a breakfast with members of the AmCham Abu Dhabi, and business receptions with the American Business Council of Dubai & the Northern Emirates, the Confederation of Indian Industry and Reliance Industries Limited.

VEDP’s International Trade team promoted the export of Virginia goods and services. Coordinating a Virginia exhibit at the Dubai Air Show, the trade team provided a platform for six Virginia companies to market their products to more than 1,000 exhibitors and 60,000 trade visitors from around the globe. Following the air show, six Virginia companies participated in a VEDP trade mission to the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia.
