VEDP Call Center: Ringing in the Jobs and Investment

Since opening in 1996, the VEDP call center has been among the highest producing programs for expansion targets at VEDP. The telemarketing program has supported VEDP’s mission through coordinating marketing missions and manager call trips, providing trade show appointment setting services, and supporting event marketing.

 

The call center has generated leads that resulted in project announcements representing more than a billion dollars in investment across the Commonwealth and thousands of new jobs for Virginia’s citizens.

In 2013, VEDP modified its call center program to provide better support to VEDP’s business attraction strategy. An ongoing Lead Generation Campaign was launched, consisting of telemarketing services, direct mail promotions and digital impressions.

Since launching the new program, the call center has placed more than 250,000 phone calls and set nearly 750 appointments and 40 direct leads for VEDP’s marketing teams. These appointments have resulted in more than 90 expansion opportunities and more than 350 active company contacts. More than $44 million in investment and 775 jobs have been generated through the new Lead Generation Campaign.
